SVAT Electronics is introducing three new video security systems among their Clearvu and VIS lines and will officially unveil them at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Do-it-yourself products have been flourishing in the current economic times and SVAT is adding two new DVRs along with a DIY video intercom system. The systems will be utilizing many new technologies that have advanced over the past year.

“We’re taking advantage of technology advancements such as 3G to keep people in touch with their homes and businesses,” says Raj Jain, President of SVAT Electronics. “People now have lower cost options with professional benefits to protect what they value the most.”

The Clearvu 500-Series DVRs have the sophisticated features of professional systems. They are just as easy to setup as other basic systems but offer more impressive options such as smart phone viewing and higher video compression. With the CV500-4CH, the user can watch live video of whatever is happening in their monitoring location using their iPhone or BlackBerry (other smart phones also compatible). Smart phone viewing with 3G technology is ideal for people on the move who do not always have a computer available to them. The DVR can also send email alerts to up to seven addresses, so that in the event that motion is detected or a power loss occurs, the necessary people are instantly aware. H.264 compression ensures a great quality picture while recording up to 2 years of continuous video footage.

The CV300-4CH, from SVAT’s 300-Series, has many convenient, practical features that provide lots of options and are easy to setup. These include auto-start recording, automatic night vision and a built-in 500GB hard drive that can record up to 2 years of video. It also has other features like motion detection, customizable record schedules, USB backup, online viewing, and supports external CD/DVD writers. For its price point, the Clearvu 300-Series offers unparalleled surveillance options.

SVAT will also launch a new VIS line of video intercom systems at CES, debuting with its VIS300-7M2 unit. It is a hands free 2-wire indoor/outdoor color video intercom system. The convenient, compact system uses both video and audio to let you know who is at your entrance before deciding whether or not you want to answer. The VIS is an effective and simple addition to any existing security system, and gives an extra eye when protecting property. The night vision camera allows you to see in the dark, up to 8ft away. Mounting the camera and monitor is easy and effective due to the included angled mounts and built-in stand—it can be set up in minutes.

The VIS300-7M2 has a base street price of $199.99 and will be available in November. The CV300-4CH has a base street price of $399.99. The CV500-4CH has a base street price of $499.99. Both will be available for purchase in December.
